Craig Weick, Executive Director, Colocation and Connectivity – Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group
As Executive Director, Co-Location & Connectivity, Mr. Weick is responsible for defining CME Colocation & Connectivity global services, pricing and the ongoing strategic roadmap of the offerings. These responsibilities include revenue management, product policy, regulatory compliance and financial analysis. Mr. Weick also has responsibility for business development and relationship management of telecommunication service providers.
Previously at CME Group, Mr. Weick served as Associate Director in Technology Financial Planning. Working directly for the IT controller, Mr. Weick managed financial planning and budgeting for large scale IT projects, including the recent data center and co-location facility construction.
Previous to joining CME Group, Mr. Weick served for more ten years as internal advisor for AT&T and as leading consultant regarding data centers, common carrier hotels, and fiber optics networks. For AT&T, Mr. Weick served as single point of contact for data centers and carrier hotels in Chicago, directing strategic, fiber optic builds.
As a founding principal of a nationwide consulting group focusing on power utility & telecommunication deregulation, Mr. Weick was responsible for creating strategic partnerships between telecommunication carriers and property owners for over 30 million sq ft of commercial space. During this time, Mr. Weick also served as a financial management consultant to power utilities across the country such as Cinergy, Excel, PNM & Sierra Pacific.
Mr. Weick received a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign in 1990. Mr. Weick has been published in trade magazines, has spoken at industry conferences and received certifications, including AWS in 2017.
